New Holland offers bale calculator

Forage quality is an ever important issue for cattle producers. “Dad always said it costs the same to make junk hay or good hay,” said Curtis Hoffman, brand marketing manager for New Holland hay forage and crop packaging.

Consequently, it is to a producer’s advantage to take a long look at what it costs to produce a bale. A good dense bale preserves the maximum amount of dry matter. Bales stack easier and make safer stacks. Denser bales mean fewer bales which translate to lower wrapping costs and fewer passes in the field. Fewer passes mean less compaction which will allow the field to producer more tonnage on the next cutting

Often, producers just don’t realize how important a good quality bale is. New Holland is offering producers a calculator that can help them determine cost and time savings.

Producers can get their own calculator by stopping by the New Holland booth (#737) at the Cattle Industry Trade Show or by visiting your New Holland dealer and requesting one (Part No. NH36145195).
