Nashville, Tenn., — Patti Townsend, Roswell, N.M. was honored as the 2012 Outstanding CattleWoman of the Year by the American National CattleWomen.

Townsend has served on numerous committees during her 34 years of service to the beef industry, including serving as a past president of the organization.

“Patti really signifies the heart of a cattlewoman,” said Jill Ginn, ANCW President.

The award is given to one cattlewoman annually who excels at beef promotion on not only a local and state level, but nationally. The award also honors dedication and commitment to the ANCW organization and beef industry.

“This is the biggest honor,” said Townsend. “I love the industry, and I love everything to do with it.”
